BUILT FOR A WATCH COLLECTION

If you're into wristwatches, the likelihood of owning only one is rare.

I tried to be a one-watch guy for several years. Then a friend asked if I had any interest in a 1960s Omega Seamaster. Two watches became three, and three eventually became too many to leave sitting loose in a drawer.

We designed our Watch Roll as a simple way to store and travel with a small collection—protective enough for watches we care about, compact enough to throw into a travel bag, and made from materials that get better rather than worse with age.

WAXED CANVAS, MADE TO WEAR IN

The exterior is made from 10.10 oz water-repellent waxed cotton canvas.

Waxed canvas has a long history as a working textile because it combines the strength and flexibility of cotton canvas with added resistance to moisture. Unlike synthetic coated fabrics, the waxed surface develops character through use. Folding, rolling, handling, and travel leave subtle marks and variations in the finish.

That's part of the appeal.

Like the watches inside it, this is something we expect to look better after years of use than it did on day one.

SOFT WHERE IT MATTERS

A watch roll needs structure on the outside and a softer surface where it comes into contact with your watches.

Inside, we use 9 oz brushed cotton herringbone twill. The dense weave provides durability while the brushed surface gives watch cases, bracelets, and straps a softer place to rest.

Light padding between the exterior and lining adds another layer of protection without turning the roll into a bulky case.

Six individual compartments keep watches separated when the roll is closed.

FULL-GRAIN LEATHER + SOLID BRASS

The closure is cut from full-grain leather produced by S.B. Foot Tanning Company in Red Wing, Minnesota and secured with a solid brass buckle.

Both materials were chosen for the way they age. The leather softens and develops patina through handling, while solid brass takes on its own character over time. Together, they make a simple, durable closure designed for years of opening, rolling, and travel.

MADE FOR TRAVEL. USEFUL AT HOME.

Opened flat, the roll provides an organized place for up to six wristwatches. Rolled and secured, it becomes a compact package that fits easily inside a carry-on, duffle, or travel bag.

And you don't have to be traveling to use it.

It works just as well in a dresser drawer, safe, or on a shelf—keeping a collection organized and watches separated without taking up the space of a conventional watch box.

SMALL-BATCH MADE IN OMAHA

Every ARTIFACT Watch Roll is cut and sewn in small batches in our Omaha, Nebraska studio.

We've been making purpose-built bags and accessories here since 2010, with an emphasis on durable natural materials, straightforward construction, and products intended to stay in service.

A good mechanical watch can outlive its owner.
