Several years ago, we were working with a distributor in Japan who wanted us to create a simple canvas tote, at an accessible price point that adhered to our standard of quality, utility, and timeless design. Challenge accepted and the No.103 Day Tote was born!

I think most prefer to design out of self-interest with zero constraints, but in reality, it seldom happens. You work with the resources available, a prescribed use case, and a perceived audience. Then you put your creation into the world and cross your fingers. A design can be too early, too late, or never meant to be!
